don't get me wrong…if they play i will go.
i just think plant might be physically unable to do a full tour.  even going to cali and that's the way have some very tough singing unless they bring down the tuning/key and eliminate much of the upper octave notes.

his voice sounds really good on the type of lower key gigs he does now…it's just when he tries to wail like he did when he was 19 on zep 1 that problems set in.

biggest zep fan around, almost scharpling level obsessive…but i have to say plant does not have the pipes to pull off a zep tour.  that one off show in 2007 he pulled off by the skin of his teeth with much detuning and vocal prep/rest/etc…20-50 more shows like that played one after the other…now 5 years more down the

very solid ep….endearing, goofy, and (as always) tiny moments of hilarious eroticism.

hm…i was not thinking "fight" as much as "unthinking/semi accidental vicious but tearful single hammer blow to the head".
also…if their exploits can take them to staten island then washington heights is not out of the question….only time will tell.

honestly to me at least (and i moved here around 1999) it almost feels POST post 911 and these damn memorials/towers/etc took/take so long to build (and so much shit has gone down since 9/11 on the international stage) that they have almost lost their direct poignancy.

hannah's e-book will be a mind bendingly meta event (similar to stephen king making himself a character in the dark tower) in which she transcribes the dialog of her own life (in a last minute publishing deadline panic), ie that of the tv program girls…..but her protagonist's name will not be hannah…it will be lena.

i found it highly plausible that no one can cut you down to size like a pissed off teenager from staten island.  that stung.

only problem is that whoever punched him might get killed.  dude works out 24/7, has many dangerous and/or rusty implements in his apartment, and is highly unstable.

gah!  i was trying to think of who that was…thanks.  have not seen that dude on a screen since short bus years ago….

shosh is getting more than a little annoying imo with her constant little girl chirping. it went from cute to endearing to grating.
ps this ep definitely made me want to go back and explore staten island…i have not been there in years.

i definitely found his tortured simile funny and very realistic.  i find that we often use clumsily ornate simile and/or metaphor to soften the blow of painful events by turning them into an artistic object (poem, song, etc etc).

i can only add as a NY-er that the partially completed freedom tower has been a part of our daily view for so long now it almost feels like old news.

so….everybody's a miserable wreck all of a sudden = A?
I enjoyed the ep just fine…but it also did not seem like a straight up masterpiece of anything (ie an A).
also i have to admit that shoshanna is annoying me a bit in a way that none of the other characters are.
otherwise a very solid moody/angry/depressed ep and

just on a technicality…there were zero boobs displayed in this ep…so discussion of said boobs would be much curtailed.
boobs.

it's a sure fire hit song title about those most likely to enjoy/dance to/buy the song.  since when do lyrics in a pop song need to be 100% literally true and autobiographical?

and never mind the fact that there is already a film with the identical title that has some of the same characters at a completely different age with an unrelated story that also was a massive disappointment that was passed on by both the star (jodie foster) and director (jonathan demme) of the previous

there is no production that could not benefit from a touch of Dinklage.  Dinklage…now and forever.

something about the tone and timing, and even the characters of this ep was a bit jarring, sloppy, etc.
good that they're amping things up but it's a little bumpy.

it all felt a bit "off" from material to structure….and most certainly when jay could not bring himself to get it on with gloria (after 6 celibate weeks) due to worrying about manny.  highly implausible.
