agree…it was hilarious how the male actor literally overlapped ever single body part so as to conceal her nudity and yet still have degrading sex with her at the same time.

cool film for sure, lots of style, flavor, and vibe…i can see why they hired jordan to direct the vampire flick after this.  he's got the ALMOST cheesy classic horror thing down.

just watching this now because of this article…holy unrepentant sleaze fest!  wow.

i get you….but i seriously think if you listened to the show for even an ep or two you would see that tom is a total nerd, in a good way and that his "bully" personae is a parody of a rush limbaugh type among other things.  I'm sure he is completely aware that many of his fans (and even callers) are…

he's definitely a prickly pear….no argument there….but that's kind of the whole point of his on air personae.  He threatens to quit the show every other week.
if you listen to him being interviewed/in a dialog with marc maron you realize that the "tom" of the best show is a highly exaggerated version of one small part…

i basically agree…but i would add that this latest film was way more amateurish/ragged than bubba ho tep.  oh, well…at least there was some quality paul giamatti in there….that's always good.

they definitely half assed this movie….i wanted to like it but could not even make it to last 30 minutes….some entertaining nuggets here and there tho.

do people realize that half of "the best show" is tom making fun (in a non serious and affectionate way) of his own crew and callers?  folks are taking a 2 minute non serious comedy bit WAAAAY to seriously/personally.  it's a 3 hour freeform improv comedy show….nobody's killing your pets.

it's early yet….but i do agree that the tone/rhythm has altered so far in a way i am not 100% enthusiastic about.  once they're over the "this is what everybody's up to this season" hump i expect some quality eps.

random aside: the woman who interviews and rejects marnie is dunham's real life mom.

slightly surprised that most A.V club commenters are not fans of the best show…or at least aware of it's existence.  personally i found the bit really funny….but the best show is obviously an acquired taste.  people should be aware that tom's on air persona is part of the joke…..
