"take care of april"
the end of a killer riff.

man….this is definitely a show where the plot tells the characters what to do rather than the other way around…and as a result the rhythm of how and why major plot points occur feels a bit disjointed.
what makes it funnier is that he gives raylan the finger…and then goes directly to get his gun.
Since Guillermo Del Toro is such a big Hitchcock fan i would love to see what he could do with a nasty CGI-less hitch style claustrophobic thriller.
thanks for insane jealousy pangs! goodman rulez.
glad that pic has the first/"real" becky.
good article…good show!
question: was this purposely insane and terrible, like some sort of andy kaufman prank?
for what ever reason my favorite moment of that ep was that little kid giving raylan the finger and smirking. funny and nicely underplayed.
indeed….or to come up with an equally perfect part in the first place. eddie was a great writer of guitar parts, of all levels of difficulty…..also a master of phrasing, he could make the simple swing in epic fashion….
true. i also love the crunchy main riff but the guitar solo is catchy as all hell.
always enjoyed the composed melodic guitar solo in this tune…no pyrotechnics, just anthemic singalong type guitar with great tone.
seeing edward norton carrying keitel to safety over his shoulder was pretty funny tho. also both of them in those scout outfits was absurd and hilarious, especially when juxtaposed with their deadly serious facial expressions.
Saw keitel on the street downtown a couple months ago and he had that same grim expression…
side note re budget: the free flowing/hurried quality of the camera moves of the first 2/3rds of the film did seem to be somewhat "cost conscious". there were a bare minimum of carefully lit scenes with shallow depth of field, careful camera movements, carefully rendered cgi, expensive looking sets, high budget movie…
at least from what i have read/heard this woman was based on an actual individual rather than being a composite. her true identity is obviously secret due to her job.
true…however he has retained his trademark unpleasant demeanor….and that's what made johnny sack such a legend….
agree. some of those cameras were not for the live broadcast…they were for a new verite ep of "louie"
i know what you mean…he was completely incoherent. in all honesty i was a little disappointed.
so is the point of the article that zero dark thirty is "too hollywood" and most critics have missed this due to the fact that the lead is a female?
Not sure i buy the premise (since the lead is in fact based directly on a secret agent who for obvious reasons could not be named) but my only obvious issue w the film was…
