I saw Grand Wagoneer, under five figures hell yes that’s a good deal!

Uh, I still don’t think it looks good, and I’m frankly a fan of the damned thing.
I’m completely on board with adaptive cruise control: a cruise control and clearance monitor that can, if necessary, initiate braking all the way down to a full stop. If I could dial in a minimum distance between myself and the vehicle in front, then I could quit fuming at all the vehicles that do weird things in…
I think this was an over-the-top response, but in Yelp Nation there isn’t a good moderate response. You have to go over the top to head off every possible avenue of bitching.
It’s nowhere near as bad as all that. With the engine at the rear where the track is wide, and the seats back there too, this thing is actually pretty stable.
That’s actually genius. In fact I would be inclined to buy it, finish it up to a high degree with that in mind.
This is in a far, far better state of completion than I usually see these things. I think what happens is, the builder gets the vehicle to where he can fit seats into it, turn the key and it’ll drive and suddenly the need to work on it goes away. A fair portion, I think, of kit car builders are people who aren’t just…
I think your mass answer is off; it suggests to me that, despite your big boat example, you don’t have a lot of experience with boats.
Most people don’t rattle off “I-4 water cooled Hemi” because Hemi usually means Mopar; specifically Mopar V8s. But I chance to know that the 22R in my Toyota has hemi heads as do other straight fours so let’s be clear: what straight four did you put in your old bus?
Another thing that is never touched upon is, what is controlling the vehicle’s stationkeeping? That is, if it is “parked,” why doesn’t a gentle breeze waft it away? The landspeeder has speed, okay, what keeps it going in that direction? It has three engine pods that imply thrust toward the rear; nothing is even…
Just take the train.
Level 2 Self Driving, AKA Advanced Fuckup-Capable Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Change Action!
It’s straight if you look down the centerline.
Bingo! That’s the ball game, folks. It may look like minutia to you and in fact it is, but it’s such easily dealt with minutia. It’s minutia but it isn’t trivial. And if they’ll skip right over something this easy that isn’t trivial, what else will they skip over?
For a while I thought having a bigger, freer-flowing exhaust would make my dinky little truck sound, I don’t know, tougher? More impressive?
Automatic doodads are great right up until they aren’t.
I’m not a fan of the whole “rat rod” aesthetic. It just looks too heavy on the “ass” part of the name when done as poorly as this.
Somebody said, in Musk’s hearing, “those panel gaps are so big I could stick my dick in ‘em.”
Century comes with an automatic -2 on all charisma rolls, but adds +2 on constitution. Win some, lose some.
Sounds like he and Jackie would get along just fine.
