I’ve been to the Lexus Performance Driving School a couple of times, the LC500 is a capable car but you can reach its limits. The first time I rode in an LFA I thought “I am the limiting factor of this car”. So I agree, it’s nice to have a car that isn’t so easy to do stupid things in.

I’m on my second LC500, my buddy has an LFA (only the 2nd I’ve seen).

I thought the same thing. I was curious so I pulled up their website and perused their inventory. Hardly what I would call “lux.” Mostly 10+ year old cars going for under $12k. And then some weird outliers thrown in like Bentley Flying Spur and a Rolls Royce Phantom. But even those “lux” listings raise some eyebrows: t

Maybe this is your Hulk Hogan moment.

The way the fuel filter is hanging there makes me think he used a number of short-cuts.

There are enough fools with money, I guarantee you that. Or at least, there were before Musk opened his mouth on Twitter. He may have lost a large quantity of buyers because of that.

Yeah, looking at the website, this was an intentional scam, not a couple of dopes with a bad business plan. The CEO isn’t available because she’s finding a country with no extradition treaties...

That is a hilariously ironic comment given the platform this video is posted on. Imagine that being the response to numerous other videos showing police brutality of young black men who just “could have complied.”

Not saying I disagree with your comment, but it is dripping in irony. Make this comment on an article

So all of the people on the Jalopnik / G/O Media boards who constantly whine about police brutality are totally cool with this guy being flipped over in a tractor which is clearly not crash rated for roll-overs?

Oh, wait, it fits with their personal political viewpoints so in this case the police brutality is okay

I was burned horribly after buying a brand-new Hyundai-family product (Kia, specifically) that was an absolute lemon and had a terrible dealership experience trying to get it fixed (shocking, I know). It left a bitter taste in my mouth that had me swearing off their products and run crying back to my Honda and Toyota

Well, color me surprised! Good to see that knobs drive all sorts of machines and not just what we expect.

It’s like they just took the two biggest boomer car guy names and mashed them together into one story. It’s not a bad build or anything, but highly unlikely it was ever touched by George Barris given that the car was in Canada and has a body kit from a Canadian company.

>OP sitting at home crying and shaking because some kids are outside drawing on the pavement with chalk

You sound like the biggest nerd omg.

That’s my hood right there! Its great when I drive home and suddenly I realize its Cruisin’ night and there are a ton of cool cars parked all up and down Van Nuys and cruising the boulevard.

GTFOH

I’d go for a Dodge Challenger that’s about 5 years old.

Agree. Granted, my sample size was an N=1. But that one time was underwhelming. If that experience was a fair representation, I wouldn’t say deep frying a turkey isn’t worth burning the house down; I’d say it simply isn’t worth doing. There are far less cumbersome ways to get a far superior bird.

Fire isn’t the issue.

Not sure I’ve seen fraud involving checks that reaches $180 mill....shouldn’t 1 or 2 ISF checks immediately freeze a bank account? How does a bank keep honoring checks once a ISF is recognized?
