I was probably around seven years old and my dad took me to a now long-defunct stock car track called Pinecrest Speedway. We’d been a number of times before so I knew the more competitive cars from memory already. Long story short, the feature race on this one occasion ended with a crash at the finish line. There was

Those rear tires look awfully treadless in that upsidedown shot. Explains a lot about how it got there.

The problem as is often the case when we talk about or with cyclists is that there are some people (a minority for sure) who approach this from a militant point of view. And of course, each place is a little different with its idiosyncratic issues.

Come on man. “If a cyclist gets hit by a car, they are suffering serious injures and going to the hospital at a minimum.” I’ve seen countless videos posted of cyclists getting hit by cars who get up and rage out like a lunatic, so going to the hospital at a minimum is absolutely untrue.

Every time I read stories like this, it’s always all about what everyone else needs to do to accommodate cyclists. Never is there ever a word about what cyclists need to do to build allies. I walk to and from work every day. Cycling to work, for the reasons outlined here as well as those mentioned in other comments

None of his crew had his back. Acting like that, riding a streetfighter and getting absolutely manhandled out there, the little guy might be suffering from affluenza.

Truthfully investors aren’t necessarily excited. At least we need to be very careful not to apply the share price action to claim there’s any exctiement. Vinfast issued 2.3 billion shares but only 1.4% of that is publicly tradable. The rest is held by the owner of Vinfast. Whatever interest there may be in the firm,

Fuck yeah.

I saw a Vinfast on the road this morning for the first time (Toronto). Dealer plated mind you. That makes as many Vinfasts I’ve seen Lucid Airs. They’re coming on strong! (not really)

I walk to and from work (about 20 minutes each way) and that in itself is a daily threat to life and limb. If I were slightly further out where cycling would be a consideration, I still wouldn’t choose a bike. All the sweat and effort with the added hazard of being on the road in traffic, the inconvenience should I

That explosion turned it into a widebody Charger.

I’m sorry what?

My personal favourite is to tape a crayon to a page from a coloring book and leave it with a note “maybe this will help you to stay in the lines”.

That’s real life for ya. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well shit, this is just a continuation of my prior “worst driver” story. So after my girlfriend of the time shot me I decided it was probably best if we didn’t see each other any more. Even though I was the one who initiated the break, I was still sort of upset about it. But she was a just a symptom of a lot of things

Don’t implicitly trust any social media. Does this really need to be said? Wait, I know the answer to that.

Maybe it’s just the photo but there looks to be some sketchiness on the right side rear suspension welds. And those gauges look marine grade and somewhat off centered. I suspect outside of the window seals there are a lot more nits to pick. It’s cool but I dont’t think I could part with $78K for it. I’ve got options

I’m growing numb to our dystopian present. I’m reading explanations about Kill Cars and going, “huh, that makes sense.”

NP, ND or third option RD? Roll Dice?

LOL. This was all a long time ago and my life has changed a lot since then. I admit, I frame my stories casually like this on purpose. I find it funny. Like when I was the target of an attempted stranger abduction when I was even younger.
