I have no idea how to evaluate this. I suspect that $75K would be paying not just for the new parts and components but also some of the labor to-date in the project. But since I’m not a “Lotus Esprit Builder” I have no clue here. I would have to think that a builder would know if that’s a reasonable asking price after…
The article mentioned “private equity firm” so that was probably triggering.
Was that a trailer full of martial arts bricks cuz that was a clean break.
Also an option.
If you find there isn’t enough meat in the restaurant serving of chili, just order a plain Jr Burger along with it. Cut up or break up the patty, add it to the chili and have the bun as a side piece of bread for dipping. Adds about $1.50 or so to the price of the chili but worth it.
“Slow Children Ahead”
Hell yeah brother!
I don’t care about the specs. I don’t care about any details. At $5,500 this is fuck around money and I’m excited to find out, even if it kills me.
I’m old and in good condition too. Where’s my museum pricing?
I’ve done the Banff road trip solo many, many years ago. It’s incredibly scenic and having your own vehicle to get around is definitely a plus. It’s always been a tourist spot but from what I understand it has gotten very busy and crowded over the more recent years.
Nuke the whales.
The main catch is that you end up owning a Tesla.
Tesla is the low hanging fruit so I’ll say Hyundai. It’s not a rational decision and I know that so don’t bother trying to tell me I’m wrong. But I remember the Pony so that’s a big mental hurdle for me and then, at least in my region, if you see a terrible driver on the road there is a 90% probability they’re driving…
He’s not wrong. But on a different level, serious looking Mr Bean is hard for me to reconcile.
It’s bad enough that the seller is trying to pass this monstrosity on to someone else because they can’t be arsed to fix it but then to add insult to injury and ask $26K?? Hard ND at half the price.
I actually want to road trip through Newfoundland as well but a critical part of that road trip is to take the ferry to Saint Pierre and Miquelon as well. It’s a small French territory, not exactly common knowledge, and the last vestige of New France. Once you’re there, you are essentially driving your car in Europe…
About 8 years ago me, my wife and daughter watched an orb of some kind, from our balcony, slowly approach over Lake Ontario and then pass right over a major urban street and slowly pass beside our building. Over the lake it looked like a ball of fire, which is what caught our attention, but as it got closer the…
I appreciate the links and the input but that still misses my second point in that for the type of driving I do, an electric car just doesn’t appeal to my driving soul. It’s like choosing between taking a go-kart for a spin or a golf cart. It’s not purely about speed, there’s more to it than that.
For one, I live in a condo building and there is no charging infrastructure. I mean, there is infrastructure but it amounts to two chargers for a 45 story building and I don’t even know if they work for anything other than Teslas. And then there’s just the kind of driving I do and why I own the car I have now. I only…
