Adrian Pimento is a treasure and I’ll hear nothing to the contrary. The gag where they use the classic flashback joke structure to just show straightforward horrors he endured is amazing.

They’re filming this year, but the special isn’t going to be released until next year. They’ve got a bit of lead time yet.

The Western comparison is so popular - but not very well thought out. Westerns, for one, were WAY more prominent that superhero films at their peak (there were years with dozens of them released). And there’s less variety to them, especially in terms of visuals (yes, comic movies also have plenty of sameness to them -

I think Thor and Guardians together will be covered in Thor: Love and Thunder which comes out May 22, before this holiday special and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. They already confirmed Star-Lord, Mantis, Drax, Nebula, Kraglin, and Groot are in Thor: Love and Thunder. And he’s certainly less multi-talented than this guy.

Along with that Quicksilver page, I’d like to mention that at the end of his first (?) ST:TNG tie-in novel, he explains Wesley Crusher in a page and half and gives us a great perspective on the character we see on screen. Paraphrased, his father (Beverly’s husband, of course) died in action pre-series, and Wesley has

Lying in a court document, especially in an open and shut case like this where he stands to make a lot of money, would be pretty foolish.

Agreed. His characterization of Quicsilver is fantastic.

Agreed. That psychiatrist issue of X Factor belongs in any list of best Marvel comics.
