It’s definitely not true that any tune or exhaust will exceed emissions. That’s why reputable companies make stage 1 tunes and and cat back exhausts exist. Sure you can go farther but personally I wouldn’t purposefully make my vehicle emissions illegal.

They already tried their defense. it’s over.  And it didn’t work, and now they have to pay the fine plus the opposing counsels 1.2 million in attorneys fees.

I go through more vehicles than the average person because I manage a fleet of about 65 vehicles as a contractor/service provider. Every vehicle maker has their issues but ford seems to have the most catastrophic engineering failures. I will list them here:

I have never seen a vehicle with over 200k miles that didn’t have random trim and hinges wonky or broken 

They don’t recommend any of them haha. However CR is very open on how they measure and score these types of lists and they aren’t always going to be what you or me or another individual might value in a vehicle.
