i’m not a tesla fanboy by any means, but I do appreciate that they answer the inquiry with real data (of course we aren’t privy to this data). GM just gives generic corporatespeak.

the main issue with CR reliability surveys is it weighs infotainment issues and rattles the same as engine knocking and transmission failures. at the same time, depending on how bad an infotainment system messes up, it could shut you out of critical car systems like HVAC control. so its complicated for sure.
the pre-sale is over and has been since about June. anyone still waiting is waiting for the cheapest base model.
I drove the previous model in Norway last summer. It is definitely cool in the way it is small and light yet very roomy. The manual gearbox was absolutely crap honestly. And going up steep hills often required first gear due to the lack of power. Still liked it. It appeared that it didn’t have front airbags for the…
they are late to the game on selling the regular ranger here because they were worried it would cannibalize F150 sales, and they got their asses handed to them by chevy selling the colorado. They are making the exact same mistake here.
you’ve never driven one have you?
I don’t disagree with anything your said, but it is within a police officers power to do this right now regardless of the legality or illegality of pot.

A person with a blog should buy this and it’s a terrible idea for everyone else
They are cheap but significantly more expensive than other cars in their market segment, even with cars in their own lineup (Sentra, Cruze, Malibu etc)
They used to say we would run out of oil but we keep figuring out new ways to mine it
its also possible that tesla and GM have artificially increased their car prices knowing their customers will get the tax credit. we won’t really know until we so how they price their vehicles after the credit. that said, since it is an expiring incentive based on car production, its a case of the legislation working…
federal student loans have been a disaster for the consumer and higher education pricing no doubt, but that’s definitely not the same as a tax credit. if it was incentivized income based financing for EV vehicles, you would have a better point.
rich consumers tend to be the biggest producers of greenhouse gases, plus first adopters always buy the most advanced expensive tech. developing cheap EVs won’t come without the expensive ones first.
depends on where that 300 acres is located to be considered giant. 300 acre horse farm near lexington could be worth a fortune
you’re going to put E15 gas in your older car, obviously. And it will make gas mileage worse and cause more people to have repairs to the fuel system which will cause wasted money and a larger CO2 footprint
