its also possible that tesla and GM have artificially increased their car prices knowing their customers will get the tax credit. we won’t really know until we so how they price their vehicles after the credit. that said, since it is an expiring incentive based on car production, its a case of the legislation working

federal student loans have been a disaster for the consumer and higher education pricing no doubt, but that’s definitely not the same as a tax credit. if it was incentivized income based financing for EV vehicles, you would have a better point.

rich consumers tend to be the biggest producers of greenhouse gases, plus first adopters always buy the most advanced expensive tech. developing cheap EVs won’t come without the expensive ones first.

depends on where that 300 acres is located to be considered giant. 300 acre horse farm near lexington could be worth a fortune

you’re going to put E15 gas in your older car, obviously. And it will make gas mileage worse and cause more people to have repairs to the fuel system which will cause wasted money and a larger CO2 footprint

good luck repairing or replacing rhino lined brake lines, gas lines, or whatever other bolts or wiring harnesses were accidentally sprayed

I assumed the reason no automaker does this are crash standards, can anyone verify if this is true?

I’m glad someone else notices turn signal sounds because it totally matters. I just got a new Model 3 and the turn signal sound is one of the few things I dislike about it. It sounds fake and tinny. My wifes Jetta has a fantastic sound and satisfying actuator feel when turning the stalk.

2" annually, wow thats...not a lot.

More of this please! great writeup

your stance on this joke is out of alignment

THIS GUY: TRIGGERED

My sense of curiosity made me wonder if you got one of those trailer hitch cargo carriers, put it on the back of an EV, stuck a 5000 watt backup generator on the carrier and plugged it in to the 22ov, would that work as a legit range extender? Would charging while driving even work or would that require a software

at my job we got killer deals on pickup trucks in that era as well. We bought extended cab silverados with V8s for all our superintendents for around 21k each after incentives

13,000 miles per year, at $3.59 cents per gallon, the difference adds up to an annual savings of $417. at $4.59 the annual savings is $534. If the poop hits the fan and gas was $7.00 per gallon, its an annual savings of $814.

The elevator industry keeps a whole bunch of early 2000 dell laptops in service to troubleshoot a boatload of legacy elevator equipment in a similar fashion. Computer tech has advanced so fast that big capital intensive state of the art projects look remarkably obsolete within its own product lifecycle

This is a great post thank you

the camry gets pure city mpg what the rav4 gets on the highway. If gas was $7 per gallon buying incentives would change rapidly

I think people forget that the camry gets 41 mpg highway and the rav4 gets 30. maybe 30 is good enough but 41 is a significant chunk better.

my bad, you are correct. It was an option, the only option as a matter of fact.
