As an OKC fan, I basically agree with most of your points. It will be such a shitty ending to what looked so promising. But you have to remember, the entire state was built upon an old Indian burial ground. So, this outcome makes sense.
Seriously. I can’t believe they pay pilots to fly when they have the best seats on the plane. We should be charging them for their excellent view out of the cockpit.

There’s nothing wrong with seeking authorial context. That’s not my point, nor is it ‘the death of the author’ (a conversation with which I’m very familiar). My point is that it is not required, nor should it be, for mass media entertainment to be ingested with the context of its authorship.
