I’ve watched a lot of Dance Moms. She seems like a harsh teacher, who doesn’t get on with her students’ parents and her reactions to conflict with parents is petty. I can believe she makes employable dancers though.

I read it. It sounds so sad. I’m sure she’s a horrible woman, but she doesn’t sound that smart, and now she’s lost everything she built (through her own conniving/stupidity) and her biggest success doesn’t speak to her (understandably).

In the UK schools are not necessary secular - in fact most aren’t - I don’t know about Holland Park specifically.

I presume it works like this:

I don’t understand why this is so difficult to understand. Charlie’s condition is genetic, it’s incurable.

Why wouldn’t a company hire someone temporarily to fill in the gap? It’s pretty normal in the uk.

I’m sure they’re going to ditch her, Tories are nothing if not ruthless.

Both parties together only have a majority of 1/2, it’s not enough to govern effectively. It’s a clusterfuck and we’ll be having another election before the end of the year.

I’ve been joking that voting for stuff has become our national hobby... Votes for all! All the time!

To be honest, I don’t think it’s a leap to think thst someone you’d only been on two dates with  wouldn’t want you to grieve.

That interview was so cringy, I couldn’t even make it through. And the part about pink jobs/blue jobs...!

As someone said upthread, people can often feel bullied by others’ behaviour, without the ‘bully’ intending anything malevolent. Humans are complicated and situations are usually shades of grey.

I disagree on point 1, he doesn’t *alwaya come across as a total douche* but he does seem to be offered roles/take roles which are pretty douchy. At least recently...

I know many quakers that don’t consider themselves Christian at all, it it’s super surprising

Ah, I’m with you now. Although I’ve never met any, is it more of a US thing?

A “fundamentalist Quaker”?!

Something like “Styled using lash inserts”/ “enhanced in post-production” I think.

In the uk, it usually has the disclaimer on screen as they show the mascara being applied/when they zoom in on the lashes, I *think* it’s a legal requirement.

I don’t think she knows about that incident specifically. But that guard had been gross/creepy/inhumane to other inmates - although now I can’t remember which specifically - so maybe Daya was connected to one of them.

Is that creepy? They share clothes all the time, and as the manager knew what the other was wearing, she steered them away from choosing the same one
