Not only that but it would be a nice full circle for TV since they cast David Carradine over Bruce Lee in Kung Fu becasue they thought american audiences would like a non-white lead. Casting and Asian actor for this white character feels like good karma.

I think it’s clear that Ollie is a terrible hero. His city is worse off that when he started. Malcomn Merlyn didn’t have set off the earthquake machine he basically just need Ollie to do his thing. The irony, of course, is that Arrow has failed his city.
