In the next couple years, I will probably buy an electric car because they get free parking in Hawaii, HOV lane access, range isn’t a problem and I have solar. I would like to enjoy whatever car I end up with and the leaf fell short. I will probably cross shop the egolf and tesla model 3.

As far as acceleration, yes they are both slow but slow cars can still be fun. The Leaf definitely is not fun in any way. If you say you drove the egolf and it wasn’t fun, I would take your word for it. However, based on the golfs driving dynamics, I would think it would be worth a test drive.

Yeah, so you can go camping anywhere you want! As long as it is within a 100 mile radius of your charging station.

Having driven a regular golf and a leaf, I very much doubt it. The e-Golf has better weight distribution and more torque than a standard golf so I would imagine it is just as fun to drive?

Why not an e-Golf? Seriously, does it compare to the GTI in fun factor?

Airplane tires have maximum speeds before failure so depending on how fast the conveyor belt runs, you would likely get a tire failure requiring an abort to prevent a loss of directional control before takeoff.

The cross over between cars and politics has gotten to the point where I no longer enjoy Jalopnik. Goodbye

Maybe the reason they let him on the plane in LAX was they were afraid of becoming YouTube stars and getting second guessed by all the armchair quarterbacks if they tried to stop him.

It is, along with a statement from the whitehouse claiming the story is false. It must get exhausting getting worked up over every anti-Trump rumor.

It is almost 6" narrower which makes a big difference in the city. But if you live in Idaho or Montana, yeah it doesn’t make much sense.

Gee, could modifications to factory geometry settings and recommend tire size have anything to do with it?

I think you are correct. A bad parking job may have contributed to a serious accident.

I got a “Pontiac” tattoo in 2009...

The law has nothing to do with consuming natural resources, it is to prevent car theft. Essentially it is victim blaming before the fact. Kind of like making miniskirts illegal so as not to temp rapists.

Don’t try to claim nice interior adds any noticeable weight to cars because you are cheap.

My dog uses a Kurgo harness they advertise as “crash tested” with all metal latches. Probably as good as you can get in an unregulated market.

Where was this video taken? The voices sound Thai but the music sounds Indian.

And so they can control the masses. Humans are parasites of the earth. The more you consume, the more impact you have on the environment. Not saying it’s bad to try being environmentally friendly but don’t get smug about it as if you are morally superior.

This comment is spot on. I’ve spent a lot of time in Thailand and never felt unsafe. The people were some of the nicest I’ve ever met with a very welcoming and non-judgmental culture. However, there is a sex tourism industry that a lot of foreigners frequent. I’m not sure why people who would never think of picking up

I’m sure it is very practical. Having lived all over the US, I think that attitude is more prevalent in wide open rural areas with big parking spaces.
