Bashing a politician that has nothing to do with the subject matter, check. Unnecessary profanity to sound edgy, check. Making excuses for bad behavior in order to justify your own selfishness, check. You are supposed to be over in Jezebel!

Or they could part them out and scrap the engines. And maybe some people consider their integrity more valuable than a few spare parts to risk on a “what if” game.
Like most comparisons, there are differences. The point is that VW’s agreement to buy back vehicles was made before owners started stripping them and whether it was explicitly spelled out or not, buying stripped vehicles was not the intent. If you actually read the article I linked you will see a lot of similarities…
It certainly is unethical to remove parts from cars before selling them! How can Jalopnik readers be outraged by this
While Saudi Arabia might be the only country that explicitly bans women from driving, there are several countries that have cultural obstacles. After all, it’s kind of hard to drive if you can’t leave your home without a male family escort.
It was a little light on car stuff but I laughed more watching episode 2 than any Top Gear episode I can remember.
I support trump over Clinton but welcome any scrutiny to ensure the will of the voters was heard and no one manipulated the results.
Why do liberals keep speculating, (incorrectly) on why people voted for Trump? It’s no secret, just ask people who actually voted for him. That is why he won. Instead of listening to opposing viewpoints liberals create a false narrative and rally against it.
The most “liked” comment is a profanity laced attack on someone who made a fairly benign comment. This website has devolved into a cesspool and should have died off with gawker.
Staged for click bait. Free publicity for the corvette mod company.
I agree in principle, but from a financial perspective, it was definitely a mistake. Kind of like when a pro athlete commits a crime off the field. It’s a financial decision as to whether you will lose more money letting him go or letting him stay. The fans pay the bills.
That sounds plausible but the engines are so small there isn’t much rotational mass. The wing design looks to be fairly unstable like a modern fighter jet only without all the electronic fly by wire pilot assistance. My guess is that it was just too unstable for a human to safely control.
I agree. Inevitably it would become or at least host a shrine to Bin Laden. It needs to be incompatible with that purpose and a playground or even a shopping mall would achieve that goal.
According to UC Berkley, lane splitting does not increase risk.
Studies have shown that it is no more dangerous than not lane splitting and it encourages commuters to ride motorcycles getting cars off the road. A study in Europe claimed that if 10% of traffic was motorcycles where filtering was legal, (European for lane splitting) it would reduce traffic by 60%.
I think this is great news. Things will pretty much stay the same in CA, but hopefully the formality will lend credibility to the practice and other states will follow.
Why the vulgar language? It doesn’t further your cause and some people, (like me) are turned off by the tone. I kind of like to think of Jalopnik as a more civil and inviting corner of the Gawker franchise.
I’s great when people like him drive their classics so other people can enjoy them but it shouldn’t be the expectation. Jay Leno has mechanics on salary to keep his collection running and serviced. Considering the ratio of driving to wrench turning time many classics require, you can’t fault an everyday Joe from…
