Renting, sharing houses with strangers. America is so strange! I’ve never had to share a house with anyone other than my family, then my wife.

Because it’s considered torture. And even in games torture is skippable (GTA, Call of Duty). It’s seen as unpleasant and only sadistic people want to engage in that.

Nope, no idea who it is. Let me guess- you’re a fan of their work and expect everyone knows about them? I hate to break it to you kid but that’s not how things work. Maybe one has to have an interest in, what I assume, Japanese games? If it’s not Kojima or Shigsy then I’m afraid I don’t know, though theres that guy

Ad hominen, that’s an easy way out of it without having to reflect on the fact you like some pretty bad things.

I don’t know who that person is that you mentioned.

I tried a Minecraft VR hack years ago, it worked quite well then but I was never into the format. I think if it has been tightened up since then I might have to give it another go.

Hah, rape=sex with you?

At the time I was just missing support, it was uncharted territory. All my uni friends and course mates were into investments, funding, hardware startups because thats how it was in the late 80's. I got into it myself from, not the ground-up but from a middle position working my way to a lofty position.

My word, you really do sound like one of “them”. I bet you think it’s “reverse censorship” when japanese games have content added to EU and US releases too.

Hi! I’ve worked in AAA and indie, I now run my own engine company.

Yup, an MRAer. Sorry I disturbed you. Please, go tell feminists what to do now.

So what you’re saying is people should just remain silent and not talk? See, we’re in an age where social media is accessible to all and, unless your account is private, your conversations can be hunted down. What I see is people talking between themselves how they won’t buy XYZ game because of ABC reason, sometimes

No, the perfect way is to not use an LCD display.

That’s a shame. About 10 years ago I had a part time job as a university lecturer. The university were upgrading one of their computer labs, the head of the building made it clear the junked items will be removed tomorrow, but should anything happen to them in the mean time “well, that would be a pity” with a little

He’s going great work though. I guess he should take it as a sign he’s on the right path.

Oh my god, you’re probably a “notallmen” person aren’t you?

It’s a shit community all round. There are okay places like here, for sure, but gaming needs to just go away now. The experiment failed.

I know you didn’t aim this to me and I feel you’re on the same page as me, but I feel this needs addressing publicly, painting on a sign, taking a photo of the sign, having the photo of the sign show up every time a PC or console boots up for a few seconds;

No one is looking out for them. Game developers need to get a union. Imagine a world where they were paid properly for their work, where they could work a maximum number of hours a week rather than going into crunch.

Unfortunately game devs are the laziest and haven’t unionized. They’re all grossly underestimating their worth. But as with anything real change will only come if everyone stands up.
