I find it hard to believe that she has friends. I find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe that she has friends who are musicians and entertainers.

I want more 90's anthems turned pro-vaccine songs:

People have been commenting, on this and other posts, that if Britney Spears does have a serious mental illness, then she does need the help. It’s important to remember that just because a person needs help, it doesn’t mean they should be declared permanently helpless. There’s a big difference between the two. I don’t

I think she has won the round of public opinion. She sounded so smart and lucid in her testimony. I had bought the mental illness narrative and now I know that she  has it together and can definitely run her own life.

“also, for the being forced to take her meds? yeah, common amongst those mentally ill.”

But I think the point was she was responding to the circumstances she was in, not that she was mentally ill, which is the narrative her handlers preferred.

I like the dress and I’m all for women skirting around ridiculous dress codes meant to shame and sexualize their bodies. I am perpetually enraged at the idea that a woman’s body can disrespect “the sacredness” of a place.

Normally, what happens on any Real Housewives franchise is not quite fodder for this particular venue.

Circa 2000-2001, it was always presented as Christina was in charge of her sexuality. But the narrative for Britney was different with all the idiotic virgin stuff coming from her team. Even before 2008, Britney was being set up by her family and management as a child instead of an adult.

Winston Marshall is quitting Mumford & Sons to follow his passion, talking about right-wing conspiracy theories.

Eh, worrying about someone making poor love-life decisions and restricting someone’s bodily autonomy probably don’t belong in the same discussion. That sets us down a weeeeird path.

I really don’t care if she does run her life into the ground once free. She should be able to do as she pleases as long as her kids are ok. She is being treated like a golden goose and it is clear to everyone.

I feel like a big piece that’s missing from the conversation about Britney’s case is that a person can have a guardian of their estate and not of their person - it’s not even an uncommon situation, where a person might not be capable of managing their estate (essentially, their finances) but is absolutely capable of

YES. 20 minutes to account for 30+ years? Find me ANYONE who doesn’t speak professionally and make them talk for three minutes. see how it turns out.

As someone who lives in a trailer please don’t lump us in with him!

She sounds like a woman that is very nervous trying to tell the court and the world all she has been through and condense it down to about 20 mins.

At times I’ve felt squeemish about crafting an opinion on this case because I loathe internet-armchair-pathologizing, but these people can’t have it both ways.

Are you under the impression that the only time requirement for a professional performer is the time they are literally on stage?

not allowed to be near her children, but still allowed to control her. absolute shame.

It was worse than I thought. And it is shameful that Jamie has been allowed to control the story for so long.
