A conservator should never gain personal value for performing this kind of service. It beggars belief that the judge thought Spears was actually fit to oversee his daughter’s welfare and simultaneously acquire huge financial gain for doing so.

On the one hand, I kinda sorta understand putting a parent as a conservator; I think a number of people would be okay with that or even benefit from that arrangement. But not in this case, or every case. If she actively opposes a family member being a conservator, it should be an option that it goes to an independent

Jamie is truly a piece of shitty work. Anyone know what he did before he could leech off his daughter’s life? How is it he hasn’t also been so public in fucking up the two other kids ... or are they Stockholmed and brainwashed enough to comply?

What floors me here is that there was never goal or process for her to get more control of her life.  She was in a really terrible place and needed the conservatorship at the time, but she should have had a path to earn more control over her life.  She should also at anytime be able to veto the person who is

When I was 13 my friends and I regularly talked in Indian accents around our Indian friends. It was insanely not cool and probably hurtful. I’ve since apologised to the one friend from those days who I still talk to.

I remember when this type of fashion came to the fore.  I was just out of a long relationship, had just dropped a ton of weight and was single and ready to mingle.  I suddenly started caring about what I wore and wanted to get out there and peacock a bit.  I could never bring myself to wear this stuff.  It looked like

WAIT Chris Brown??? Violently abused a woman????

Yeah, as far as excuses go, “I didn’t know what that word meant when I was a kid” is a pretty valid one. The way that video was edited, I couldn’t even tell she was singing along to a song... but I could definitely tell that the person who made the video didn’t want there to be any context to the chosen clips.

So do we accept Billie’s apology or not? Just wondering who else is going to get raked over the coals for stupid stuff they did as a kid.

So... I am embarrassed to say that I didn’t know the term “ch!nky” eyes was a racial slur until I was in COLLEGE. I had never heard that word used to refer to Asians (could be because there were almost none where I grew up). To me, it just meant when you squint when high - which is a total facepalm now. Like how did I

God I hate these

“Someone please help me do baby math to figure out how it is that Nick Cannon is reportedly expecting his fourth child this year.” At the link:

A-Rod wasn’t f**king her. I have no insider info, I’m just someone who knows things sometimes by looking at pictures. He has an issue with dominant women. So it’s bonetown for Bennifer and we’re rooting for them/living vicariously through them being able to go back and get a re-do with the one you had the most

This......is not a good song. I’m sorry, but that’s just how I feel about it. I don’t really know what Lorde is trying to do with this, it’s just such a radical departure into the mundane and boring. I don’t have high hopes for the rest of the album after this.

I’m scared. I want sad Lorde

I’m no Kim apologist, but her own bank account is pretty fucking stuffed, and her first two husbands weren’t exactly filthy rich, so I don’t think that’s her motivation.

Yeah, according to this the next time I see the flashing lights in my rear view mirror I’m just going to slam on the brakes and stop right there in the middle of the interstate. It’s what law enforcement would want me to do.

I hope it’s not a “settlement” as that implies the state/officer and victim came to an agreement to drop the charges. Charges need to go all the way through with the woman winning the case, earning monetary damages as well as having a real punishment for the officer (aggravated assault, attempted manslaughter, etc).

Here’s my brag moment. I was a “homeowner” for one an episode. My friend and I recently did an impromptu oral history of it after he got called out on Twitter for it. Of all things Paige actually joined the conversation to say hi.

God, I loved this show; it was probably my favorite thing on cable during those years. And yes, I think the mission was for the designers to push the envelope but I’d never considered it a “prank show?” But in retrospect I can’t recall a single makeover that looked good, so maybe I’m wrong, lol.
