So I went to get mine at... Disneyland of all places. They stood up a a vaccination pod there in early Jan, and I have to say they did a good job. You know what they are really good at at Disneyland? Running people through lines. I got in early (first does in Jan) due to my job, so it was a lot of older people and I

I’m a week away from getting my second shot and I’m oddly more afraid of getting sick now than I was like 6 months ago.

I just want to see a friend, I haven’t seen a single friend since my old roommate moved out last March.

Yesterday I saw a press conference (or something, I only caught the end) where Biden was asked what we were going to do with the extra vaccines when everyone here was vaccinated and he said we were going to give them to countries who needed them, because if anywhere in the world still had a problem, then everyone in

I want to get dressed up and go to a restaurant SO BADLY.

Especially on the internet, and on Jezebel no less...

I used to usually go to watch movies at end-runs and or off-peak hours. It was rare that there were more than a couple people at that particular screen. I MISS IT SO MUCH! I used to go at least weekly, and just started going again after my heart transplant when COVID hit. :(

Yep. I got my first shot just the other day and I’m terrified of something fucking this up. I will continue to hibernate and vigilantly wear a mask until mid-April, when I plan to slowly integrate myself back to society. Almost there!!!

It’s amazing to have fully-functioning, competent adults in charge again, ain’t it?!

Dear God, can the cults of personality please stop already? The people who unleashed Reagan on the world have so much to answer for.

I CANNOT WAIT.

Is... is this... is this what a competent government response to the pandemic looks like? What is this weird feeling? Dare I hope?

It’s simple. All someone has to do is ask McConaughey, on camera, “If you were governor when the storm hit, what, specifically, would you have done to maintain power getting to peoples’ homes? And as a follow-on: How will you improve the Texas power grid so this never happens again?”

Yeah, I don’t get it. I also really don’t understand the obsession with edge cases begging to validate their choices on the internet. Like no one who was saying “don’t travel for Thanksgiving” was actually concerned with things like helping an isolated person with deteriorating mental health move to live with family.

I don’t understand this or any of the many other opinion pieces published all over the internet that want me to believe that I shouldn’t be even a little upset that people have ignored the advice of medical experts because “being lectured about whether or not it’s safe to do anything is pointless, so why bother?”

Has there been a year where we haven’t all judged each other, because I can’t remember one.

My great grandma wore a burgundy dress with an amazing hat as well. My mom (as a girl) asked her why she didn’t have a white dress and my great grandma’s response was to wink and say, “Maybe I wasn’t a virgin?” She was such a fun, sassy lady. She swore to my grandparents she wouldn’t live to see 2000. She died 11:30pm

My Great Grandma wore a black, beaded, sequined wedding gown with a fabulous velvet & feathered black hat in her wedding to my Great Grandpa in the 1920's. What goes around comes around!

Not sure how, but I was unaware of the Meghan-Beyoncé alliance. Hang it up, Royals. You’re done.

Do watch Ted Lasso immediately. It will restore your faith in humanity.
