A few years back I was invited to a sluts and vicars costume party for Halloween. I was in need of of dog collar ( the sort that dogs wear) and a leash so decided to go to Pet City to purchase one. I tried a few on instore because wasn't sure if I would be small or medium for the collar. Whilst I had one on the

See, the bonnet SEEMS like a good idea at a club, but a girl needs her peripheral vision intact to ward off creepers. I think it would be much better in a quiet bar. Eye-catching, alluring, a little mysterious. Then BAM flash those fishnets and he’s hooked! #NotYourMamasHandmaid

The mom in me wants to take a washcloth to Bieber’s face. Young man looks like he’s overdue a good scrubbing.

First off, it’s very common for abusers to hide that aspect of their personality for a long time, then to unleash it on their victims without warning. Secondly, women are often socialized to view warning signs(eg, possessiveness) as romantic behaviour. Thirdly, it doesn’t matter if there were warning signs!!!!! No one

It is weird that we have this whole thing where we voyeuristically look at this shit, but at the same time that fascination can crack cases and help people.

That video was some scary stuff. Glad she made it out OK- so many women don’t.

This is profound and edgy social commentary and you just don’t get it!

Laughable to hear celebrity men criticize the modeling business which manufactures 90% of their girlfriends and mistresses. Not to mention that men’s images are boosted when they have an attractive woman at their side, whether as a date or a partner. But it’s society that’s wrong for paying these women, whom at the

Same! I was in a dark place when season one of MMM premiered and I binged it in a few days. It made me happy, which sometimes is all we need from entertainment.

Of course the Committee that Ford will be facing is all male. What a shocking surprise.

Easy for me to say, but...

Oh no...a show that is actually funny won Best Comedy! Something is seriously wrong here.

I kind of had the same thought. We’ve gotten so used to our comedies being dramedies that we tend to reject straightforward comedy as fluff. Others have pointed out the redeeming qualities of Mrs. Maisel already in the comments, so I won’t rehash their arguments. When I watched it, I found myself really enjoying that

Not that there is anything wrong with this analysis, but the fact the a 6-paragraph article about the “comedy” categories argues that the winner isn’t dark enough without even mentioning whether any of the shows are funny kind of exemplifies why these award shows are obsolete, IMO.

We’re allowed our fluff, and we’re not claiming it isn’t fluff. Gilmore Girls is still probably my favorite show of all time, and I don’t think I’ve ever felt adamant about persuading people that it’s a “good” show. It’s got something else to it. A comfort. A minor escape. I watched Maisel in about two days while I

These are fair critiques of the show, but it implies that Sherman-Palladino is world-making with rose-colored glasses on. In Maisel, I thought it was pretty evidently self-aware that this wasn’t a historical drama but a “set” where stage-meets-screen. Her shows have always been Theater Kid Escapism. Maisel nailed

Fantastic show. Not every show has to be angry, or filled with squalor, or be gritty, or have a radical message. Mrs. Maisel is escapist fare definitely- but the cast is delightful, the acting superb, the sets beautiful, and Brosnahan is luminous. Great TV.
