Just a heads up: if you’re prefacing your comment with some variation of “I don’t like her music, but …” you sound like an asshole.

It’s not just rich people. I have close friends who recently lost their youngest child, a recent college grad with a decent job, from a stable, loving, close-knit family, to a fentanyl-laced overdose. Addiction does not discriminate.

Get well Demi. You are loved.

Here’s hoping she finds her way to counseling and some Suboxone strips; they worked for me, and it’s been 2 years of good, clean decisions now.  Down to a half a strip a day, and hoping to get myself trimmed back to a 1/4 a day soon enough, then an 1/8, before I think I can probably be done completely.  They really

HIPAA applies only to medical personnel treating them. So paramedic, EMT. However if a noseyass cop sees what’s up and someone from TMZ offers them a nice check there is nothing illegal about that cop sharing that info. I used to work for a fire department and we had a scare when some patient info turned up in a

FUCKING HEROIN.

My heart breaks for her and her family.

YES. Even if I was made fun of for height as a teen, I’d still have people be like, “Oh, models are tall!” and I was great at basketball until high school when people when I had to actually be skilled.

RIGHT - Your fatness is obviously a reflection of your poor lifestyle choices, and I need to tell you that b/c

Two fat women in a sea of unattractive/fat leading men. Tony Soprano, Al Bundy AND Jay Pritchett, any Jack Black movie, any Woody Allen film (he’s just unattractive, not fat), etc etc.

This position that fat men are stigmatized as much as fat women is not really defensible. For sure, fat men are made fun of. A lot. Being fat is a huge stigma in our culture. But being a fat woman is a whole lot worse. You can look around and find all sorts of examples. People have pointed it out already but look at

Yeah, it’s a slippery slope identifying people as shitty just because their families are. I’d bet there are a lot of people who would push back against being labeled a trump supporter because their parents/siblings/cousins voted for him.

I’m 6" and have been since 6th grade. I was made fun of for being tall, and am currently 4 inches taller than my boyfriend. I’ve also been a size 4 in my early 20s and am currently a size 12.

Thing is - my lifestyle blamed and shamed for me being fat, while my height is something genetic I can’t control.

It is 10000%

I usually get my drinks on my walk back from the bathroom.

If the button isn’t supposed to be used to order a drink, then why does it have a picture of someone holding a drink?

Any industry has its high-maintenance customers - try not to be one if you don’t have to be. That said, it’s a call button not an emergency button; use it when you need to call the attendants, and don’t abuse it.

Internationals, I push the button for various things, including bottles of water.

Uh, if it’s a long ass flight why wouldn’t you press if for service? It’s true for most domestics that they have a pretty regimented schedule for food and beverage. There’s hardly 20 or 30 minutes when the cart isn’t in the aisle or they’re not at least offering water. But that’s not my experience for overseas

“Remember, the main purpose of airplanes is to get you from one place to another. If you want five star quality food and service, spend that money at Per Se.”

There’s probably a reasonable middle ground between no service and Per Se service. I don’t think asking for water etc. outside of “appropriate intervals” is poor
