Yeah but minimalist modern is very different from spartan and ugly. There’s also a fine line between simple and functional, and I’m afraid the Tesla in its current format crosses into the dysfunctional region.

This looks better than the actual Model S interior, which is pretty bland and cheap looking.
“Some" character is the word... and the Model 3 interior looks like its made out of bathroom tiles...
You have to admit, when even something as ordinary as an Altima looks sumptuous in comparison...
The Lagonda is still gorgeous. The Model 3 is already tacky and old, and it hasn’t even been released yet.
Car with “some” cahracter.
Is this the kind of bad opinion they teach in Austin?
It has aged beautifully.
Cup holders? Why hasn’t Tesla implemented life support that hydrates the passengers through osmosis. What have they been doing?!
It's OK. They've installed a full-length glass roof to mitigate problems with light getting in.
It has some timeless lines for sure!
China is a hot mess with their car market.
I remember Piech boasting at least a decade ago that customer perception of VW was so high that they were already charging a premium over Opel and Ford of Germany. Guess it takes one bad mistake to bring it down to their level.
My ‘02.5 Jetta turbo was plagued with the failing coil packs ($25/each vs $100/each) and the windows falling into the doors (plastic clips vs metal), both cases where the bean counters got in and redesigned a part to be cheaper, only to see it fail in massive numbers. . I often call it the “most predictably unreliable…
“is looking at this with a volume mindset,”
I always liked these cars.
Not enough to buy one, or seriously consider it in a list of two-seater convertibles, mind you, but I did like them.
That might be worth watching, if it wasn’t for the idiot doing the narration. What an absolutely horrible voice.
“good” and “styling” do not apply here. The exterior of this car was designed by a guy with a ruler, who realized his design project was do at 5 on a Friday and it was 4:30 and he hadn’t even started.
This will get far more attention than a “chrome wrapped Lambo” or anything else you can buy new. The problem is, this also will cost more than anything new except maybe a Bugatti or Koenigsegg.
A car like this is almost unusable, even as a weekend car - like that chrome wrapped Lambo, everyone notices but unlike a new…
I’m not a fan of the meaning behind hearses (as most aren’t), but respectfully putting that aside, I am a fan of the styling of the car itself (and hot-rodding!)
