Reality TV existed well before the 2007 strike. Survivor came out in 2000, The Bachelor in 2002, American Idol in 2002 and The Apprentice in 2004. None of the other reality shows that premiered during the strike like the American Gladiators revival lasted long.

Your not wrong about that! Having a talk with one of them and being a POC (like myself) is something else. Because they feel like you/I will understand their talking points and not think they are 100% Racist. I mean I usually think they are 78% racist!

Solidarity. The wage to work disparity between writers (and other workers) and execs is insane and needs correction. The product wouldn’t exist without the people who put in actual labor.

Good. Unions are the workers’ corollary to corporate power.

Fuck the AMPTP. I hope the writers get all their demands met in full, and Netflix forgets all their passwords to their internal systems

I find that “libertarians” are selfish bigots who don’t use the shield of organized religion to justify their assholery. They just own it and call it “courage”.

and arguments about the age of consent.

He lit it up like Antonio Banderas in The 13th Warrior!

I heard a Democrat wish someone “good luck” for their job interview the other day, as if luck were a natural force that could be invoked for one’s benefit. So much for the party of science!

People like to imagine that others who think as they do aren’t idiots. If an idiot could hold the same beliefs as them then it undermines any self-worth those beliefs contribute to. Unfortunately morons occur in every group, often in about the same proportions. Or at least people with such glaring blind spots as to be

They cared if you were a foreigner and they hated the expansion of Roman citizenship. So yeah, wanting to be seen as a Greek or Roman was preferable.

Because Greek and Roman statuary was built around an ideal. No one looked they look in their statuary.

Both of those articles exist only in your mind. Better stick to repeatedly posting the same gif of monkeys pissing, instead of trying to stretch your skillset into clearly unfamiliar territory like reading comprehension.

I mean, it is because there’s no actual evidence of where her mother was from with evidence she may have been from Syria or Africa to say nothing of the racism at the time that favored Hellenistic and Roman features and skin tones. That doesn’t make the documentary less garbage, but it’s not as simple as saying “well

I disagree with the documentary, but I also don’t know that using statuary to judge the race of someone whose full family tree is unknown is the best way to determine someone’s race either. There is some evidence her mother may have been from Africa. There’s some evidence she may have been from farther East. There’s a

Does the ministry release statements demanding changes to all the “documentaries” that say the pyramids were built by aliens?

Also ya know, Jada Plinkett Smith is a scientologist so there’s a real mixing pot of fringe cult like beliefs in play here.

I swear on my life a week or so ago my parents were watching Jeopardy and a question about this film came up and the answer was “The Ocho”. So whatever level of fame you consider being the answer to a Jeopardy question, this film is that.

Making a sequel to a beloved, quirky comedy twenty years later is a bold move, Cotton. Let’s see if it pays off.
