Indeed, and certainly there are exceptions and there are lazy bastards who stumble into careers or whose parents prop them up, but I think that’s probably not going to be the vast majority, and I don’t know why people are acting like it’s a crime for kids to have help from their parents’ names.  I get that we need to

And it’s not even just well-known people. In literally every walk of life—if you already know someone doing something, you have a leg up over people who don’t. If I need a job and my uncle is a janitor, he can put in a good word for me with his boss and I have an advantage over other applicants. It’s a fact of life

2Pac still would have been good.

Where does it say anything like that in the article?  Just because he had some good albums in the past doesn’t mean this is a good album now.

Old white man syndrome strikes again.

Yes, definitely my reading comprehension issues and not terrible writing.  I will say if this looks like good writing to you, I weep for your brain and the kind of shit you’ve been feeding it.

and having nothing but the highest respect and a complete lack of contempt for the French.”

As for the racism claim, all Kelly said is that the usher wasn’t doing this to white people on the carpet, which...is it true? Let’s evaluate whether it’s true before we

Hooray!

Why shouldn’t it, assuming DOJ wins the lawsuit and breaks up the monopoly?

The DOJ’s lawsuit won’t solve the issues fans care about relating to ticket prices, service fees, and access to in-demand shows”

I keep seeing the claim that the usher didn’t know who she was and I don’t see why that matters or that Rowland said anything about that.  You don’t have to recognize someone as famous before you follow the golden rule of keeping your hands off people.

Agree. The performances sound amazing and I’m interested in the film now, but not sure if I can take it at this point.
