Baten Kaitos (and, by extension, Baten Kaitos Origins). While the first BK game had atrocious voice acting - dreadful delivery and subpar production - it is still one of my very favorite games, from the amazing art style and beautiful pre-rendered backgrounds to Motoi Sakuraba’s genius soundtrack, and the super fun

Boy the hype on this game really fizzled out fast, didn’t it? Maybe one day game studios at large will stop releasing games earlier than they should. And this isn’t even a case of blowing things out of proportion, they royally screwed the pooch with this game.

Nope, no reason for an English speaking demographic to play a game in a language they understand. What a stupid thing to say.

I must clarify I’ve never actually seen TLS and my only knowledge of it comes from a joke on an old Chappelle’s Show episode at Tom Cruise’s expense. I think it was Paul Mooney expressing disappointment and disgust at a white samurai. Hahahaha.

This is a weird complaint and if you’re going to be fair you should also criticize the game for using non-Japanese audio tracks. It is just a movie, I can suspend my disbelief in order to enjoy it in my native language. I doubt this is gonna be another The Last Samurai, after all.

This has the chance to be very good considering what it is, but like all video game adaptations, I have a very real fear of them Fucking Shit Up Bad, so I really hope this does not suck. Ghost of Tsushima was my favorite game of 2020 and the only game I’ve ever platinum’d or cared about getting achievements. Please do

Ah, I misinterpreted. Yeah, I totally agree with you there.

Disagree on this unfortunately. Personally I go all the way back to gen 1 with Pokemon and while I’m not a genwunner I completely lost interest in the series with gen 4, got back in briefly with gen 6, skipped 7, and I was so massively disappointed with Sword & Shield I think I’m just done with Pokemon for good unless

Bought mine midnight at launch. Given me 4 straight years of amazing gaming. It’s always worth buying if you KNOW what you’ll be getting down the road; as a Nintendo fan, I was happy to put my faith in this system despite the Wii U tragedy, and they did not let me down.

Where the fuck is Pikmin 4? Wasn’t that shit ‘well into development’ 5 years ago?

look man I know it was dumb to try to mediate on the Internet but I was trying to be polite and at least acknowledge some semblance of a valid reason for the OP that’s all, I totally agree with what you just wrote

Hostility from both sides! Original commenter has a valid point about Kotaku bringing more attention to this; the replies are also valid that they’ve been advertising this elsewhere and are making no secrets of its existence. Everyone smoke a bowl and love each other, damn it, it’s only Monday.

Nintendo C&D looming on the horizon like

There is a difference between pattern recognition and coming straight out the gate swinging a sledgehammer of cynicism and being confident you know everything this game is going to be. Like, I get where you’re coming from to an extent, but god damn dude

Jesus, and I thought *I* was cynical. Barely anything has been shown about this game, dude.

I felt sad and guilty for carrying on at my job as though everything was normal, then I felt guilty for feeling guilty because I had the enviable position of being gainfully employed.”

This is a problem. You should not feel guilty. You have a life to live and you have to support yourself. I get sympathy for those who

When will the world finally have enough of FF7?

Fuck this shit.

I LOVE this game and its soundtrack. The Raindrop is my favorite piece of classical music and was the reason I majored in piano in college. I was floored when this game first came out and I realized what it was all about. Chopin is my favorite composer and I could sing his praises all day. The man was an absolute

I am so hyped for this movie.
