I agree. I think Jalopnik jumped the gun here. Tesla has always published promo videos and blog posts on their own social media, this is nothing new. They have literally hundreds of videos on their YouTube channel.

EV competition is a great thing for the consumers. As long as the individual has multiple choices which have similar specs and price points, we will get companies to innovate and try to win over business.
