Yep. Funny enough Mythbusters basically did this by pumping Hydrogen directly into the engine.

Exactly. The infrastructure requires investment and time from nearly everyone just in order to even make Hydrogen feasible, even more so than EV chargers since the hardest part of the EV charging infrastructure (ie. the grid) has already been built out for the most part. Installing/upgrading actual chargers or outlets

It is going to be a challenge, but it’s one that people have already started to work on and test.

Where else would you put it then? You never answered that. If you’re implying just put it in the open bed then that’s simply ridiculous especially if its raining outside. At least with EV trucks there is usually an extra enclosed space to place your extra stuff. Follow what this article is about and get an actual

Yep. My wife and I did the exact same thing by making the smart choices early on. She drives my EV to work while I ride my PEV to work. And even better that her work offers free EV charging while I can easily charge at work too for free. So we literally spend $0 on transportation fuel cost. But even if we did, it

Even more of a reason to shift transportation shipping away from fossil fuels to electric wherever feasible.

And what price do you think EVs need to be at for “regular, working people” like you?

Great if you have a cover, but otherwise trucks seem very impractical for everyday use especially if people are with you. Put your groceries in the back seat where your kids and other passengers are also sitting? That’s ridiculous. At least the EV trucks have a real enclosed space meant for groceries in the form of

Whether he saw it or not, he was reckless either way so I hope he gets charged as such.

They are already doing this. Walmart has already teamed up with Electrify America/Canada to install the majority of its DC fast chargers at its stores. Whole Foods is the same way. And HEB in Texas already has some Tesla Superchargers. It’s going the take time but we will eventually come to a point where literally all

Shhh don’t you know, Jalopnik ignores all the good ideas that Tesla does like installing their Superchargers at places people stop at already. But instead opens their eyes when they see that same idea being adopted by someone else and calls it genius.

Damn, if Volvo are now “Genius” for deciding to install chargers where people usually like to hang out at, then Tesla and all the others must be Godlike since they’ve already been doing this for years.

exactly, why the hell does this warrant its own article? Volvo didn’t do anything special here compared to what all the others have already been doing for years.

That’s basically what the money from Biden’s infrastructure plan is going to fund.... installing a lot more DC fast chargers all along the highway.

Fun fact: All commuter cars that regular people use actually spend the majority of their time sitting rather than driving. Therefore it just makes logical sense to have your vehicle recharging while it is going to sit idle anyways.

Along with catalytic converters, the stealing of gas like this is something an EV driver would never have to worry about.

We can argue whether or not a direct sales model is better than a dealership model all day, but hopefully we are all in agreement that there shouldn’t be these stupid franchise laws that all the dealerships lobby for that legally prevent a direct sales model in the first place. Let the market and people decide how

Exactly. Add to that Americans general low self-esteem and thin skin to always try to “fit in” when it comes to looks. It’s why they choose to get big inefficient SUVs for their family when they would be MUCH better off functionally and financially getting a minivan instead. But noooo they just cannot get caught

No, there are actually 25+ fast DC Tesla supercharging charging station/locations all along the way. And for shits, that’s around 200+ individual stations/stalls/plugs. And that includes between Carlsbad and Albuquerque no matter which route you take(I-40 or I-10). I’ve hit a lot of them on my drive out to Carlsbad

So you purposely refuse to answer my question on how you are contradicting yourself and offer absolutely no rebuttal or logic on your original position. Just simply saying EV are fucking stupid which is just as dumb as me saying “Mustangs are fucking stupid durka dur dur”. Ok then. Your name does accurately fit your
