The voices aren’t that special. For the first season I thought Dan Harmon did those voices, because he sounds awfully close to Rick in real life. Otherwise there is a vast sea of good voice actors who can do these voices.

Can we stop acting like this is in any way unique to entertainment? It exists in every industry, it just gets more often exposed and more publicly exposed because of the public nature of the industry. I think we have enough scapegoating of “hOlLyWoOd” by Qanon types as it is.

I was really expecting them to end it. I kind of like that it’s continuing because it feels weirdly like a “fuck you” to Roiland, even though I’m sure it’s mostly suits sweating and saying “We can’t cancel our most popular show!”.

You’re saying Thanos, the serial kidnapper who mutilated his daughter every time she disappointed him, wasn’t abusive? Also I feel like murder is problematic.

It’s been five years since Roiland had a writing credit on the show (his last episode was “Morty’s Mindblowers” from season 3) so I don’t think he was contributing to the creative side of things all that much anymore, aside from ad-libbing dialogue.

The entertainment world has always been filled with sacks of shit like him, just in the past they were covered up or enough money was thrown at the problem to make it go away. The difference now is that technology is at the point where you can keep the receipts of these douche bags and expose them for who they are.

The thing about canceling the show is that it puts a lot of people out of work because of the personal actions of a single person. Recasting at least prevents everyone else involved in the show from getting screwed over because of a single creep.

Is there no one left in entertainment that isn’t a ginormo-gantuan piece of shit?

When I say Supervillians, I mean the likes of your Thanos’, your Kangs, your Darkseids. Your Castlevanian Draculas.

I like that you say "the last thing AS would wants is to air a show starring someone who sounds like Roiland" when they literally say that is what is happening in the post. Not to mention the fact that VAs get recast for various reasons with sound alike actors all the time.

“Supervillians may have had the right idea all along.

Either you die a hero or live long enough to become the villain

We really just can’t have nice things, can we.

There’s been a lot of good writers on the show, at this stage it’s bigger than any one creator. At worst we lose the improv episodes, which, eh.

I don’t think he didn’t any writing so much as he ad libbed. Most of the interdimensional cable skits were just him getting high/drunk and riffing.

And to be honest, Roiland only has three voices. His normal speaking voice, his rick voice and his morty voice. I guarantee you can find MULTIPLE people who could replace

There’s a lot of talented voice actors out there just needing a chance (for example the guy that took over for Cleveland on Family Guy) so I’m sure they can find someone(s) that can get close, if not dead on, to the sound of the voices for all of Roiland’s characters. That shouldn’t be an issue.

Y’all are missing part of the story. It’s not the court hearing that resulted in his firing — Cartoon Network has been well aware of that for a couple years now — it’s the revelations that Roiland reaches out to underaged girls on social media in hopes of sexual encounters.

How about just buy from developers who make good games. If the game is worth $30 are you not going to buy it because it never went on a sale? Do you only buy games years after they release to understand how the publisher will treat that game? Just seems like a backwards line of thinking, what do you care about a

5 Whole Dollars. The Horror.

$35 for a game like this, that can potentially offer hundreds of hours of playtime, is a fucking bargain.
