And good on them for revisiting a better era. Next they should do the third doctor era in the early 70s when he was trapped on Earth. Loved that period.

Good guess.
Well this aged well. Typical Whitbrook.
Sounds like someone who has never had an office job.
So basically it’s on brand.
If you read Whitbrook’s reviews of Strange New Worlds, a show that was designed to be episodic like previous Trek, you’ll find that he doesn’t like the episodic storytelling format of previous eras. This is also why he is far kinder to Discovery than most reviewers are.

I caught that, too. A bit of the patented Trek social commentary there.
It really hasn’t.
I had the same take. California is far more Starfleet than Texas will ever be.
David Filoni? Hard pass!
Except for what happens to tiny animals in his movies. He really doesn’t like tiny animals.
Ha! I prefer GladOs, but will take SkyNet over Legion any day.
While Phase four hasn’t been great, the MCU has taken some bold swings. Thor Ragnarok, Werewolf By Night, and the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special to name a few.
Hilarious. And while I watched the Oroville and tried to like it, the truth is it is more of a work-place sitcom than sci-fi. Lower Decks and Rick and Morty have a much higher sci-fi quotient and are funny to boot.
On the one hand, I agree, Disney has its fingers in enough pies. On the other, being able to see new episodes of Who streaming without commercials is a nice way to bribe me into complacency.
Only a war that will wipe out humanity. But then, I was never really a fan of humans.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer robot.
It was also the best thing in a thoroughly underwhelming episode.
