Never cared for Dan Slott’s writing. He thinks up big ideas but can’t ground them.  I wouldn’t be surprised if this was just him wanting Franklin all to himself.

I agree.  I tried to watch the various cartoons and just couldn’t get into any of them.  And I love cartoons!  From what I’ve seen, Filoni is full sycophant when it comes to George Lucas and after the prequels that’s a bad look.

Haven’t liked this season as much.  Particularly Baby Yoda’s eating habits.
