A lot of that was due to gerrymandering. I suggest the book “Ratf**ked” by David Daley. Very eye-opening read about the “Red State” initiative.

I have an idea: The democratic party needs to be a party of diverse ideas if it wants to be relevant. If people keep insisting on ideological purity they’re doomed.

“The war has been over for more than a year dude, Emperor HeroSanders surrendered.”

Who cares?

Nice deflection.

You’re hilarious! In an unintentional way.

That’s why we have unions.

All of your arguments lack empathy.

“I work longer than 8 hours and sometimes on weekends.”

You show a level of self-awareness that is very rare in comment sections. However, calling out people in the greys is a bit of elitist move. I, for one, am proud I don’t have the post-gawker sites seal-of-approval.

You’re welcome. I wish their was a way to private message on Kinja. But I just want to say, it is people like you who give me hope when I feel like all is lost and we are doomed.

All of your arguments are based on the premise of “competition is better than cooperation”. Some of us have empathy and don’t see everything in terms of winning and losing.

“I’m not trying to change your mind, just point out to other impressionable minds that you are wrong.”

I like you. You’re sassy with your logic and facts!

You seem to have got Max’s number. Sociopathic. Prizing the individual at the expense of the group. Supporting competition over cooperation.

If you believe that you live in a made-up world that fits your preexisting ideals. Out here in the real world, it doesn’t work like that.

That slate article you linked was posted DEC. 22 2014. A LOT has changed since then.

Nice take-down. I bet he cites Friedman or Hayek. Both rich, white, men. And both dead. As is their philosophies. Though they seem to come back as zombies.

Counterpoint: 8 hour work day, child-labor laws, weekends off, minimum wage, health care.

Supply-side Milton Friedman bullshit.
