FYI, she will become the next representative. There is no Republican running in opposition and the district is a very safe D.

You mean Rose McGowan in paragraph 5, not Rose Byrne, I think.
My unpopular opinion is that I was never that into Buffy and Angel, mostly because it felt a little too pat to me - teenage girl falls in love with moody, mysterious older guy (who turned out to be a vampire with a soul) just seemed a little too trite to me. I ended up liking Angel more on his own show than on Buffy…
That may be. It always felt to me like they were pushing Fred and Wesley together because it felt like they should be together, despite the fact that they weren’t particularly interesting together.
Sure, but their toxicity - and the notion that Wesley could go a little dark while Lilah could actually become more sympathetic as a character - was what made them interesting. I think that it was a reflection of the more mature tone of the show Angel - I also ended up finding Angel/Darla were far more interesting on…
They were just so incredibly chemistry-free.
I loved Wesley, was meh on Fred and hated the Wesley/Fred relationship. Mostly because I thought Alexis Denisof had more chemistry with the woman who played Lilah and I thought that was a more interesting relationship.
I mean, I think it’s more than a non-negligible chance - I flat out think he was assaulted. It’s certainly not unheard of in that industry, and there’s no reason to think at least some of the predators are women. (Though statistically, it is more likely to be a male masseur who).
I wish I actually liked Stephen King’s work because this was filmed in and around the area in which I grew up (North Central Massachusetts). I am trying to get over my antipathy towards horror in general to see if I can watch it for the location shots.
The “I am too sexy for dry shirts” gif is a thing of beauty.
Ethan Hawke was never hot.
Kin Shriner is underrated, though.
“...regardless of age,” I meant.
I am in a relationship with someone who is 20 years older than me. And yes, we have a lot of conversations about this. But he continues to learn and grow, and that is something I would ask of any partner, regardless of change.
Believe me, I am well aware of how slow the progress is. I didn’t make a claim that the problem has been solved, I have only made a claim of progress. It is slow, and there is tons of work to be done still.
Yes, that is true - and as I said, there is much to be critical of the Church on regarding clergy sexual abuse. But IMO that’s also why it’s important to recognize progress when it happens.
As I said in another post, it is not the truth. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/vatican-reveals-how-many-priests-defrocked-for-sex-abuse-since-2004/
The Church’s response to the clergy sexual abuse crisis was inadequate at best and damaging at worst. And it’s only now that we’re starting to see real change.
I personally dislike “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and thought that it reinforced a lot of ugly stereotypes about women. That being said, it isn’t the worst, by far.
These are all quality rom coms. Yes, “You’ve Got Mail” is problematic. But still, fine as a rom com. I love “Never Been Kissed.”
