Not at all. For such a family-friendly series, Star Wars has always made me a little uneasy in how droids are treated: They appear to have consciousness, and have meaningful non-predetermined conversations with humans, but they’re still treated like appliances. It’s bothered me since I was a kid.

But they’re Bethesda’s achievements. The current incarnation of id software is essentially a department within a larger company, with no ties to what made it unique in the first place.

What tons of developers? Cloud, Steed, McGee, Green, even Abrash were interchangeable pieces. No Carmack, no engines. No Romero and Hall, no design.
