I don't think James Cameron has worried about anything ever in his life. Clearly the guy has made some kind of Faustian bargain. He somehow manages to spend more money than anyone making his movies, gets no flack from the studios and STILL manages to make his money back regardless of quality.

that's the rub isn't it? forcing comedians to think about their material will stifle most of their creativity. What if Louis C.K was forced to sit down and think about his "N-word" bit? The world would've been deprived of a great bit of art that was also thought provoking.

i think the whole "person says hurtful thing " is anathema to good comedy. what are you replacing hurtful jokes with? probably not good jokes. if you try to hamstring comedians, you're probably opening the door to a ton of terrible comedians.
