I do love the Boondocks, but my general thesis was a comedy without a political bent. If you can make a funny political show,more power to you. But I think the more potent move is to make a funny character based show that makes people see we're the same as everyone else.

I personally hated "Cristela". It was way too predictable, but it's bigger sin was that it was pandering. True progress is when a showrunner HAPPENS to be Latino. What we need is a Mexican Dan Harmon or Mitch Hurwitz.
