I’ve never really understood the aversion to booger eating. Most of it ends up going down the back of your throat anyway, so you are eating your own boogers whether you want to or not.

The only daylight between eating boogers and post-nasal drip is ... well ... a finger and daylight.  All the cultural eye-rolling is just other people trying to justify their own hangups by finding an echo chamber. 

I tell my kid the same thing about eating boogers as I do about playing with his wiener: Do it in private and wash your hands after.

I have basically negative interest in these cash-grabby nostalgia remakes, but this had my curiosity because I loved the original and because I can’t remember the last time Tim Burton made a good flick. Now that curiosity has been quashed, and thanks for that.

Given the enormous number of people making terrible low-budget movies, I’m not sure why Smith enrages you so much. He seems like a pleasant, kind person, who makes movies that appeal to a small audience that nevertheless is large enough to keep them profitable. Who cares?
