Ya know.. I just watched it again like 3 weeks ago and I gotta say, it’s a horrible movie. Aside from Burton tossing out the Batman lore out the window and making up his own dumb shit, it’s just an insanely bad film. Good acting and nostalgia are the only things holding that movie together. 

Just no.. Burton has (arguably) 2 excellent films. Scissorhands and Beetlejuice. His other movies, while beautifully shot, are mostly crap and held up by really good acting. He is one of the most overrated directors ever.

He survived.. I saw him on Prison Break. Solved it!!

Don’t hold your breath in anticipation of anyone on Parler seeing the hypocrisy in their own actions. 

I still think Alien 3 is an underratd film. I think most people hate it cause of the transition from Aliens and killing off key characters, but if you take that way, it’s pretty awesome. I can watch Prometheus on an endless loop. I think it’s a brilliant film. Covenant wasn’t as good, but still has great replay value…

the Predator franchise is actually far more consistent than the Alien franchise

Just as a point.. The “just works” refers to the OS being stable and working. This isn’t akin to Burger King’s “Have it your way”. The OS (for the most part) just works and has everything you need.

Too bad he rarely uses said talent. He’s done 70+ films and literally those are the only two I can thikn of where I would even consider him a great actor. In most films, he just phones it in. Pixels is the epitome of that..

A few notes:

I downright loathe Nancy Travis, but I still love that movie... The detective (Anthony LaPaglia) and the Captain (Alan Arkin) were hilarious.
