Too bad he rarely uses said talent. He’s done 70+ films and literally those are the only two I can thikn of where I would even consider him a great actor. In most films, he just phones it in. Pixels is the epitome of that..

Yea, It makes the viewer the detective and you get to fill in some of the blanks (for lack of a better term). In a typical horror movie, people disappear and then the bodies get “discovered” for shock value later on, which is weak. I like the not knowing how someone died or when it happened. As someone who has seen The Thing about 50 times, it’s not illogical at all. You’re just not shown everything, which is what makes the movie brilliant. Showing each infection or who does what gives up the mystery and suspense of the entire movie.
Exactly.. Jump scares are cheap. That being said, Requiem for a Dream is a straight up horror movie for me.
