You want to play in the political pool and actively work to disenfranchise others?

Agreed. I had what was probably an atypical amount of education on how to have constructive relationships, but it occurred in a setting that was largely isolated from the rest of the world. I knew what to do, but had never done it, so it was still foreign to me.

Drugs.

you think charismatic people with a good voice all have "a decent chance of making it big"? That idea is confusing to me.
I'm sure she got the disney show because of her dad, who was also on it.

Thanks so much for that, and yeah - it's a bit of a bummer I don't write as often, but I still do longform stuff several times a week, still do the Featured Desktops and the Hive Fives - I'm not totally gone yet!

Thanks so much! :D

I think Alan is by far my favourite LifeHacker editor. Keep up the good work!

There's also Mubi, which is a really neat indie/world film streaming site that offers a rotating selection of 30 movies (each day one expires, and a new one is put on), which offers a bit more of a curated experience for those who have anxiety with the huge libraries like on Netflix and Amazon. The rate is about

What do you think they're going to do, grab for some new shank material while they're crowning? Wander off with an epidural in their back making their lower body numb? Somehow have the brain power to hatch an elaborate escape plan while they're in excruciating pain and/or doped up out of their skulls on pain meds????

I remember a woman at the Petco totally freaking out on me when I told her that I let my cat outside. She was ranting about how it shortens his lifespan. I told her I would rather him have a shorter happier life where he gets to be a wild cat then live a long frustrated life where he is locked inside and miserable.

If you're afraid you're doing something that's going to get your kids taken away from you, then you should probably have your kids taken away from you.

But that woman sure chose her shitty boyfriend over her kids. All together now: "Fuck her."

As a child whose mother failed to protect her from abusive stepfathers/boyfriends, I say fuck her. Children are utterly defenseless and can't leave an abusive situation under their own power. This woman's kids didn't choose her shitty boyfriend.

It is SO hard for me to subscribe to this theory. I want to be generous of spirit and forgiving, but my sympathy well is close to dry. It's hard for a child to accidentally get burned, repeatedly, and burns are exceedingly painful and scary. If the moms are, for whatever reason, unable to protect their children, maybe

My cat Fred has similar high energy levels. I live in an apartment on a busy street so I walk him on a leash to help work out the energy. He loves it (will actually bring me his leash when I get home from work).

Are you trying to tell the internet people they can't have cats? Because that won't work. No one owns homes anymore.

or lots of focused play to tire him/occupy him for 15 mins one or two times a day. It's boredom ultimately that causes some of this behavior.

Yeah I didn't smile watching that. It made me quite sad for the cat. The kitty is literally climbing walls.

"PlayBox 4One" sounds like a porn console.
