I only buy Charmin Ultra Soft. Not Charmin Ultra Strong, but Ultra Soft.

I couldn't agree more, especially with the toilet paper. Using cheap single ply paper at stores and other places is a (painful) nightmare.

Ditto

Thank goodness! I thought I was the only one...

Nice! I also really like Calibre for anything that touches ebooks, it beats anything I've tried before.

Great idea for emergency clothing! It would even fit nicely in more bags/purses I see people carry everyday.

The thing that makes me most angry about these 'pro-life' idiots in Ohio is that in the quest to rid the state of abortion clinics, they are also taking away some of the only safe havens for prenatal care in the state.

Great piece, not to minimize Ferguson, Missouri at all, but Hartford, Connecticut in the early 90's had to desegregate it's public schools after a huge lawsuit. CT was at the time the richest state in the nation that simultaneously had 4 out of the 5 poorest cities in the US, Bridgeport, New Britain, Hartford and I

I'm not questioning this photographer's integrity, as it seems like his approach to this project has been a long interaction with the community and not just parachuting in, but this whole formula seems like such a cliché at this point. The world of photography is already filled with these kinds of artificially lit,

fun factoid..I also had super sensitive hearing when I was young...the type you are describing...Nordstroms was the worst culprit for me and Sears was pretty bad...I just had my first son, they tested his hearing at birth and he kept failing the test, because he would jerk his head which signaled a fail on the

I dunno about dogs, but I heard it when he powered it on.... A high pitched static squealing buzz. Just what I want in my office cubicle for 8 hours.........

For real. I can hear the shit out of that. Like its drilling at low volumes in just the video alone.

Maybe you are right but that doesn't make much of a difference. I've actually played with the ultrasonic stuff that is used in humidifiers and I could hear those too. As well as certain processors that are noisey (noise coming off the chip). Also those dumb apps that are supposed to repel bugs... they repel me too.

I can hear it in the video, it's like an extremely loud mosquito ringtone. This'll drive lots of animals insane.

Dogs, cats, hamsters, mice,bats.... this will all damage their hearing. 28000 cycles per second means 28kHz...above the range of humans but not most animals and at up to 150dB, your pets will be deaf in no time, seriously.

Same. The moment he turned on the device I said "NOOOOOOOOOOOOPE"

A good illustration you can find at http://www.gv-solas.de/fileadmin/user… (page 9). There you can see that many animals can hear 28 kHz. So this device will cause major problems in a non-laboratory situation.

Some high frequency sounds are actually used to deter rodents but also affect hamsters, rabbits, mice and other small mammals... I hope they do some research first so they don't hurt any animals.

haha... Legit concern though... What can hear the sound? Dogs, cats, monkeys, birds? for liability reasons they will need to find this out..
