People working with vulnerable prisoners have been saying for decades that prisons are rife with abuse and self-harm; that our clients are routinely hurting themselves, committing suicide, being abused etc with guards either failing to notice or actively overlooking it.

This is gonna totally blow your mind: There is an entire field of psychology called child psychology. Children see psychologists all the time. Because children are people, and thus are susceptible to mental illness.

Well.... while I was living in Tulsa, I couldn’t escape that radio add for legal services that revolved around the catchphrase “I need me a lawyer!” delivered in the most drawly of drawls there ever was. I knew plenty of people who used the “gonna get me” or “gonna get me some” without intending humor. Hell, my own…

Anyone who thinks the “Pocahontas thing” is even a scandal is either a flipping idiot or a misogynist grasping straws. 

These stories from Warren’s life -and the simple manner she tells them in- just further cement my admiration for her.

...We are not electing presidents assuming their VP will take over when they die from ill health and old age. That’s not...how this works. 

The fantasy being that economic reform is the only reform that matters because it is easier and benefits (checks notes) white men. The really distressing part is that so many people who really should know better are falling for it.

I literally have bookmarks of comments on this website where people told me “it’s not about gender! I’d vote for Warren if she ran.” 

She lost, please get over it. Worst candidate in history, lost to the 2nd worst candidate in history.

Has he been in the fight all this time?  I’m under the impression that he cares deeply about economic justice.  A worthy fight.  But less so about social justice.  

I really wish that people would do their research on Sanders; he has in fact not consistently held the same positions through out his career. If you are going to demand a purity test that a candidate must be woke from birth, apply that standard to Sanders as well.

We all know exactly how the Sanders folks will act when their boy loses again. Just prepare for it. It’s coming. 

Actually, Bernie lost; she won the nomination and the popular vote.

To say she was the worst candidate in history is truly the stupidest shit I have ever heard.  You can dislike her, but to discredit her in such a fashion is so sexist I can’t even begin to respond. 

I understand, but things can get nasty on the campaign trail, and I just remember one sourpuss Bernie face at Hillary’s nomination event.  Wasn’t a great look, and not one I’d like to see repeated because some people didn’t get their way again.

Because she’s a patriot. Because she’s a brilliant former FLOTUS and Secretary of State with something to say. Because she can and should. Because she is right. And mostly to piss off a bunch of Bernie man babies.

Why the fuuuuuuuck is Bernie Sanders still running? My god.

Same reason any old white man is still running his mouth. Come on. Why is HRC the only person who’s ever told to go sit down and knit? Nobody tells any Republican traitor that. Nobody even tells her husband that.
