chicago public library uses overdrive, and the downloads for kindle and my android are different ... i don't think that they would sync across devices

i borrow ebooks from my library (chicago), for free, using overdrive ... the kindle versions are different and would be a separate download ... so to have a book on my android and on a kindle would count as two books checked out (with a limit of six), and i doubt that they would bookmark the same

someone else linked to a hand-cranked battery, which seems like the best option

yeah ... i think kindles are fab ... but i don't want to be hauling and/or reading and bookmarking books on two different devices

very true ... having to come to terms with one's physical mortality aside, there are all sorts of tortures that religion can inflict upon a young spirit

i actually educated my daughter on many religions, took her to churches and read her the story of christ's nativity every christmas ... she went to a lutheran (but non-denominational) preschool, and i even let her spend a week at christian summer day camp with a friend, hoping to keep her mind free to make her own…
