Having pretty much never owned a car with AC, my biggest piece of advice is to always try and park in the shade. If you can always park in a shady spot, driving without AC isn’t even really that bad. I live in Nashville and daily a car with no AC and vinyl seats.

WHA?? I wouldn’t run anything under 91 in an air cooled motorcycle. I ride a big twin evo harley (FXR) which from the factory comes with something like 9.5:1. It will ping if the timing is off even a little bit. I dont know what your are referring to but stop doing what you’re doing.

Actually saw a good one once that read 8B8BB8B or something like that. the point being that you couldn’t discern the 8 from the B and couldnt take down the plate number.

My only car is a clean, cream colored 84 el camino, g-body with a 350 swapped in. I drive it every day. I live in NYC and street park it. No rot on the thing anywhere (florida car), people always ask me why I park it on the street because it looks real clean. Where else am I going to park it? These things are great.…

NP. I was looking for one of these when I bought my el camino, which doesnt have ac either. Always liked the long beds too. If the cab corners are good and the little apron under the windshield, this is a $7-8k truck all day in the north east.
