So you’re saying that if Jurassic World Dominion tops the box office and we can somehow get Janet Jackson’s That’s The Way Love Goes back on the charts, we’ll at least be safely back in the Clinton Era?

As has been pointed out by someone more clever than me on social media, Running Up That Hill is currently charting, Top Gun is the #1 movie in America, and we’re having tension with Russia.

Yeah, a few years ago an exodus of commentariat created The Avocado. It’s basically just a community site, not an actual news site like the AV Club is (was), but Dikachu and tons of other old-timers hang out there. I post there occasionally but mostly just lurk.

Are you replying to the wrong comment? Literally the entire thrust of my post was that People magazine’s source is irrelevant, because Morrison’s “defense” is to describe inappropriate behavior. My source that Matthew Morrison behaved inappropriately is Matthew Morrison.

I don’t find the grade and the quote to be incongruous. A film can be (or become) a classic due to its rewatch-ability and (projected) cultural impact and yet be a good, not great, movie on its strictly cinematic merits: maybe the direction is unimaginative or a few performances mediocre. Plenty of ‘classics’ -

I suspect that Maddy was a little too aware of her status as The First Straight Guy. Like, it’s good that she was respectful of the queer space she was in (and judging by her comments in this reunion and elsewhere, that was a major priority for her) but I think she held back from being as sharp and funny as she could

There’s a saying that I think applies to Jasmine. “If you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you’re the asshole.” That said, she’s young, dealing with personal issues and just spent time in a ridiculously stressful environment.

Im really excited for the All Winners season.

This was one of the best reunion shows in years, as the conversation was dominated by the early outs -- who rarely get much of a voice in these things -- and we got to stare at Alyssa Hunter’s beauty for most of the hour. And Kerri and Jorgeous looked spectacular, too. Points for everyone!

Oh, Ru Ru Ru. Love you Ru. Damnit Ru. But love you Ru.

España corner! As a clarification I must repeat I am originally from Madrid and now living in London, and that means that watching Drag Race ES is reverse cultural shock in spades: so many references to things and places I admired (the fallen angel in Retiro! The Neptune! OCAÑA!) and the humour so close to what I have

Last week my pick for the next one to go was Deja followed by Jorjeous, so seeing them both go in this episode wasn’t shocking; it was a time saver. For many weeks now you seem to be so convinced that Daya will be in the top 4, but i can’t imagine Lady Camden not being there since she didn’t make a wrong move and

That was Will Smith’s biggest hit in years.

I thought about that too. What I came up with was that it was a cis het male character so they thought it would be inappropriate for a drag queen to do it?

Nothing these game companies put out there as NFTs does anything for anyone that a standard database couldn’t handle far more effectively. The only reason they’re pushing for NFT is to try and create Real Money Transactions(RMT) market places in a restricted system that they can control and extract fees from.

Because you can do all this already without NFTs. You’re adding complexity for zero added value, something that in any other industry would result in you getting your walking papers.

I think the outfit critique must have come up before and not made the edit, because Michelle prefaces it with “you know what I’m going to say.”

I actually thought that this episode was great fun and that the musical ranks amongst the better musical episodes, as they’re almost always dreadful. The only part of the episode that felt forced and rehearsed was Bosco’s chocolate save. Because it was.

Sure, if it actually was Roland Emmerich. I just use his name as an adjective to describe disaster porn movies in general. The Core is not directed by Emmerich and, if you didn’t know any better and had no way to check, you’d probably believe me if I told you it was. It’s an Emmerich-like movie, for sure.
