I call shade on that. The fatsuit woulda killed in the club. Cheap gimmicks like that were made for rail vodka drinks and underage teen girls from the Valley. Those girls love a reveal.

OMG, totally - a queen that’s embedded in local lore and culture? Perfect example of what I’m talking about. (Dixie sounds like a walking Judgmental Map)

Hey now. Shangela totally references Cersei Lannister, too. Even though the correct reference there should’ve been Margaery Tyrell.

Random ‘pinions:

It’s definitely been noticed that Ru definitely defaults towards flowing Grecian drapery - her other fallback being body-conscious curve-hugging.

I should probably have clarified that I was talkin’ bout Dela’s actions tonight possibly, hopefully motivating Trixie.

For just about any other show, I’m generally spoiler-insensitive. But tell me about the most shocking RPDR gag, and I’ll come to your room at night and cut your wigs up.

While I’m still rooting for Trixie, I’m as nervous as ever that the challenge format just isn’t the best showcase for her talents. She’s said over and over (and it’s true) that succeeding at Drag Race, and succeeding at drag are simply not perfectly synonymous. She’s seemed content to roll with that knowledge, but

We were commenting tonight on my couch that the candy pastel fantasy tonight was stunning in palette - but that the silhouette and proportions were just... off.

I expect this also speaks to what separates an All-Stars season from our regular seasons. The challenges for regular seasons are more overtly designed to push and test the girls to the limits of their talent and skillsets, and often beyond. More than versatility, I find the regular seasons are a test of adaptability.

Ultimately, I think the Rigga Morris debate revolves around trying to parse Dela’s motivations. I don’t think anyone would disagree that Ben is generally genial, fair, and egalitarian. But that still leaves plenty of wiggle room to allow for her choices (Tati: “Choices.”) tonight being not purely altruistic in nature.

One gathers that Kennedy, off-stage, has a low-energy shade that one could draw comparisons to, say - Pearl. Trixie describes her as a grumpy old man, and I find I feel like that observation immediately quadruples my understanding of Kennedy.

I mean - this is the thing we’re gonna be debating through the Reunion and beyond.

Random ‘pinions, and a lot of ‘em for a gag-dense episode!

Probably because Studio 54 is more likely to be the more universally recognized style reference than prime Factory, Exploding Plastic Inevitable. As iconic and influential as the Stars were - Edie Sedgwick, Viva, Holly Woodlawn, Candy Darling, Jackie Curtis - I’d wager they’re simply a deeper cut to the average

*shade sound effect*

I think you hit on the meta-ontology of this challenge.

Paula Abdul is like - 2/3 on hardcore kaikai lezz on the mainstage.

I swear to jeebus, that is easily the sixth time I’ve made that mistake posting here. Ugh!

There’s at least one very successful local queen who’s famous for her wig-rips.
