It’s at least 50/50 he’s a douche nozzle.

Seriously, I was coming here to say this exact thing. Austin Clagett did nothing wrong here and is just being screwed over by two companies that were too cheap to cover their offered prize.

Well, it shows that they were aware of what’s going on.  Can’t claim you didn’t know what was going on if you like the post.

“No one in this story seems particularly likable and I love it.” I see no issue with the person that should have won the truck. The article does not seem to make that person seem unlikeable. Or, did I miss something.

No one in this story seems particularly likable...

A hole-in-one is rare enough that the dealership and country club felt comfortable gambling that nobody would manage to do it. Uh oh, somebody rolled snake eyes!

“It’s definitely got a face that might turn people off” buddy compared to its stablemates it’s BMW’s fucking Mona Lisa

Everybody gets the S54 wrong... it’s not about the exhaust note, it’s about the intake noise! Put a CSL-style carbon airbox on it and you’ll forget that the exhaust was ever a problem. Induction noise > exhaust noise.

Didn’t realize it had a name - Yamahammer V6 found in the old Taurus SHO:

This aluminum twin-cam, twin spark, tri-carb, 3.7 liter motor had 314hp and, in the lightweight DB4GT Zagato, went from 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. Oh, that was in 1959 with tires that were only 4" wide! And like the car it was in, it is so, so beautiful to look at!

The BMW S54 is my dream engine. I’d like mine in a Clownshoe, but I’d settle for the E46 M3.

Well, not the best, and I am biased, but I love the BMW S54. The only thing I believe keeping it from greatness is it doesn’t sound very good.

Also, on the complete opposite side of the spectrum, (and no, still not the “best”), but the GM 3800, (especially later series), was excellent. Well built, economic, good and

In that case. I’ll roll up in a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off special:
