As someone who is in the business, and has F&I experience and training, I can say that what they did is in fact, illegal in the state of Florida. (and other states) If you have someone who does not speak the same language as you, they MUST have a translator present, and the translator cannot be provided by or an

In other words, anyone that’s not like them (read: white), deserves much less attention, etc. Has anyone noticed that the morons screaming loudly for English as the official language, cannot even spell or use proper grammar?

I just actually laughed out loud. The ones that generally are the most aggressive about Americans speaking English are the uneducated and stupid. Ive gotten those comments more for ignorant hicks than from rich people.

I personally think we should learn other languages, if only for our own sake. I’m working on German, currently.

I’m guessing you’ve never been to Miami, or anywhere outside the Midwest. In Miami, Spanish is the official language of commerce. Also, how in the fuck is English the global language of transportation? English is definitely needed to operate globally, but by not speaking multiple languages you put yourself at a

‘Official or accepted’ is a laughably vague term.

The United States doesn't have an official language. The English language is the most commonly spoken language but it isn't the official. That's why you need to press 1 for English when you call a support center.

That is not factual.

The “this is America, she should learn English” is invalid because of legal reasons. Technically, nowhere in the Constitution does it declare English as the official language of the United States. Most people don’t know this, and they just assumed this is true, because English has been the popular language.

There is a large diff between the wind noise of a helmet on the road, and your window down in a car.
That said, I have lost a good bit of hearing in my left ear because of the window being down. granted the car was also extremely loud, but just because you CAN drive just fine, doesnt mean its best for your hearing.

Yes, I would agree. Thanks for shedding light on it. I didn’t know that much was different between the engines. I’m wondering if the basic block casting is the same.

Audi S4 motor with timing chain between engine and transmission? Notorious for breaking guides? Yes, this is the best answer yet

I propose a “Most Famous Pictures on Jalopnik” as the next QOTD. This would definitely be in.

As has been said, that’s what we in engineering call “operating outside of design parameters.” An o-ring of that size is an engineering feat in itself.

Sat in on a lecture from one of the engineers on that project. They knew it was a weakness and wanted to re-design the joint, but the final design changes (which were only approved after the Challenger) cost many millions of dollars. Like any cash-strapped organization it was decided there wasn't money for that kind

Different car - BMW X5 - Michellin Lattitude HP tire weights are 42lb (RFT) and 32lb (regular) which is 10lb difference and this is significant. Not quite 25lb per corner though.

I mean off course driving like an asshole should be enforced, but the law just seems so vague and prone to abuse, even it’s descriptor “Exhibition of speed”. You’re not speeding, but showing that you very well can if you wanted?
So what acceleration is too fast? 0-60 in 6 seconds? 4 seconds?
