Wow. Their convoy is all about freedom...

All touch-screen interfaces are unsafe, and have become an opportunity for manufacturers to cut costs.

How do electric cars change this calculus? It’d be a hell of a thing to engineer a third pedal for an electric car (not to mention downright unnecessary). While they tend to be extremely heavy in comparison to their internal combustion counterparts, their power delivery more than makes up for them on a race track.

This kind of mentality keeps manufacturers profit margins high. It’s incredibly common for people to buy more car than they need for a one-off situation. It’s why vehicles like the high-margin F150 sells so well.

That FSD Beta is a $12,000 option...and it doesn’t look particularly safe to use in anything other than clear and dry weather conditions. There were several occasions where the system operated in a way that caused other drivers to take evasive action (and even more instances where it required driver intervention).

    Now playing

I’ve driven several Teslas over several generations. They’re good, but honestly, they’re not that good. I already explained how the touchscreen interface is bad. I’m glad that you like it, but I think that it’s terrible.

    1. You do indeed need to drill down for things as simple as turning off a steering wheel heater.

    Massive touchscreens, eliminating hard buttons.

No doubt - but Porsche seems to have come to the conclusion that they need to ditch the rear-engine configuration to remain competitive (even if they were not successful).

They’re pretty much already there...their GTLM 991 race car was mid-engine.

They do - you’ve just gotta buy a new 911 to get it:)

...other than the fact that they’re built like crap (I have a MK7 R). The build quality has been consistently disappointing.  I've chased squeaks and rattles throughout ownership of the car. A real bummer, it was supposed to be everything.

Shipping and handling charges are for delivery to you. Typically, when we go to a retail store to make a purchase, shipping and handling charges don’t apply - all of the retailer costs (shipping included) and margins are included in the final price.  By your logic, the purchase of an apple should include a destination

It looks like BMW worked hard to engineer an over-stylized front clip with a ridiculously large grille. I wonder if they put more budget into that than performance?

I think that you’ve conflated my posts with Qiviut’s post. You’re responding to the wrong message from the wrong person.

It is closef enough to be cited as sufficient legal precedent. Police are not liable for damages or losses occurring during a lawful police action.  They do not have to pay for the damage that they cause.  Pretty simple.

Thats what lawsuits are for. You don’t ask the guilty party pretty please. You sue.

I don’t think that you understand what the word “literally” means.

    Look, we’ve found a racist!

8 years later and I’m still driving cars with a proper manual, voting with my dollars. I guess that I haven’t grown up - at least in your eyes. I am so sad that I don’t meet your criteria for adulthood - what will I ever do?
