I can agree with this. I had a digital speedo on a motorcycle that I wasn’t crazy about at first...but after a while, I realized that I was actually able to read the speed quickly - with minimal distraction.

No thank you for the following reasons:
I’ll take it a step further. The Singer attention to detail is unprecedented, but they kept the original 911 interior layout. The original 911 layout is the tits. Porsche got it just right, and it feels like flying in the last piston powered fighter plane. In it’s most basic form, the Classic 911 gets it right.
Why will it be so painful financially? An electric motor has one moving part. It is significantly less complex than an internal combustion engine, and should be far cheaper. I don’t know for sure, but I suspect that dropping a new electric motor in a Tesla is pretty easy. The implications of replacing an electric…
Honestly, if he’s gonna drive it and write about it for a year...it’s probably best as a well maintained street car. A franken-car built from best-of-breed parts would be pretty good for this, though.
What I like most about this is that it’s an actual sim - not an arcade-sim (e.g. console games, which are beautifully rendered, but don’t offer much in terms of realism).
Of course, cops have known about this for years (at least, they did in Europe).Vic Elford wrote about being shaken down by border cops in Sweden in the 60’s, who insisted that they tear apart his frunk to search this exact place.
Oh, for sure. I was not trying to suggest that driving your rave car to the track is impossible. Clearly, you do it...and many others do as well. However, it tends to be prohibitive more often than not (especially dependant on class, type of racing, etc). I occasionally see people doing it, but these people tend to be…
Don’t get me wrong. I still want to be a proper old-school gentleman racer and drive a Porsche 550 Sypder to the track on race day. I’m just short around 98% of the cost of a seven-figure 550.
Driving to the track: Yes very cool.
I had this thought as well. Another thought that I had is whether the compressed air from the blow-off or diverter valve could be redirected into the air tank rather than a heavy battery-operated motor.
Motorcycle officers riding Harley Davidson motorcycles is akin to using Cadillacs as patrol cars. Harleys are a luxury product, not a fleet product. Don’t get me wrong, the BMW is also a luxury product, but from a pricing perspective, less so than a BMW (at least on an MSRP level). While a BMW is only around $1500…
I googled it. BC toggles the trip computer displays. I believe that it stands for on...board computer.
Well then. It’s perfect!
